| I've never heard of that tbh... o.o
The last movie I saw wasn't really a movie but sort of? Uh it was Sherlock, season 3, episode 3. I don't exactly watch movie movies all that often. D:

| I loveeeeeeeeeeeeee movies. owo
I just saw "I, Frankenstein," I was assuming there'd be some stupid romance between him and the girl in the trailer...but not really. I'm glad it didn't get that silly. xD
I watched it in 3D | |

| Ah...I, Frankenstein is one of the movies I'm watching as soon as I start college again (cinema is 10mins away from my main building). Was it worth it?
Most recent one I saw was The Book Thief. It was great to see a take on how German people's lives were during WWII, even if it was...embellished. Also, Death has a really nice voice. I, however, also feel the need to mention 47 Rounin. That movie was epic.
I'm not a huge fan of Hunger Games. Anything that has a love triangle is...not a good choice to me. X3

| Yes, I loved it for the action/graphics, some suspense..
And yea I'm not much of a fan of romance in movies. xD

| The last movie I saw in theaters was Frozen.
I was against seeing it at all after being kinda let down by Tangled, but I reconsidered after my friend made me watch the "Let It Go" sequence on YouTube. So pretty. And now I guess an Oscar-nominated song? lol
Catching Fire was pretty good. I get annoyed by romance (particularly in young adult fiction *cough*Twilight*cough*). But I will say that The Hunger Games trilogy sort of uses it as a plot device that is necessary for the protagonists. It's not really a forced melodrama that makes no sense whatsoever... Did I already mention Twilight?

| God, don't mention Twilight, please...A friend of mine was crazy with it and made me watch 3 of the 4 movies that came out. It's where my trauma of love triangles came from.
What did you end up thinking about Frozen? To be honest, I was one of the people that was waiting for it since the first sneak peek. It is swimming in success and a lot of people I know say it's the "big come back of Disney". To me it was a pretty movie but I can't help feeling a little disappointed...I can't seem to like Disney movies in 3d or CGI. Pity they don't seem to be making anymore cartoon animated movies.
On the Disney subject, anyone seen Saving Mr. Banks yet?

| Overall I was very pleased with Frozen. The soundtrack at least is very strong which has been one of my issues with the newer Disney films (like Tangled with its lackluster songs). The plot could have been stronger; more exploration of Elsa as an antagonist, vague romance between Anna and Kristoff. I know some people have hailed this as the next great Disney film rivaling even The Lion King.... I don't agree. Like Brave, Frozen is a return to good Disney animated films. Yet they still aren't as strong as the best Pixar films.
I haven't seen Saving Mr. Banks yet. I totally forgot to make time for it. I'll have to see if there and any showings of it soon or at least resort to other methods.... haha

| I have not seen "Saving Mr. Banks." I can't remember if it mentions Mary Poppins, but I never cared for that movie. So I'm quite hesitant to see Saving Mr Banks. | |

| Oh, then you probably might not like it Light I'm the type that likes to see read the title, see the poster and go into the cinema blind. But I was told this one is, supposedly, the fight Walt Disney crossed with Mary Poppins writer to obtain the rights to make the movie. Mary Popins is one of my favorite movies of all time. Feed the Birds is just so...beautiful. About Frozen, yeah I agree with you in that. It is a good Disney movie but I can't really see how people can compare it to Lion King. I don't think Brave is Disney...isn't it Pixar? I know Pixar is part of Disney but I don't like mixing the two together. Last movie I watched, as of now, was The Hobbit. Again. Saw the second one last December in 3d and I'm just in love with this series. Funny, because I was never much of a LoTR fan. When at the end of the first movie, Bilbo says: - Quote from The Hobbit:
"Look, I know you doubt me, I know you always have. And you're right... I often think of Bag End. I miss my books, and my armchair, and my garden. See, that's where I belong, that's home. That's why I came back... 'cause you don't have one, a home. It was taken from you. But I will help you take it back if I can."

| Oh yes, Brave was Pixar. I try and keep the two separate as well. Brave was an interesting case as it's honestly weak compared to Pixar films in general; yet it meets the standards of good Disney Animation Studios films... go figure lol.
I'd Forgotten about The Hobbit: DoS. 1) I'm horrifically scared of spiders and 2) Dat dragon was scurry, but it was still a great time. I wanted it to keep going lol. Can't wait for the final installment.

| Yeah, I was kind of hoping they had put the break near the beginning and we were going to get a much longer second part when...poof, lights come on again and credits roll. I'm dying to go read the book just to see how it ends.
To keep the topic alive...the last movie (one I saw today) was Chicago. Awesome movie... Great thing about Aura is while you're moving from place to play with auto-mover thing you can do a lot of stuff on the side.

| Since watching the movie I did read The Hobbit. I'm not personally a fan of Tolkien's writing style (got through half of The Lord of the Rings before calling it quits). So I do know more or less how it ends. The book itself is extremely short. To fluff it up into three full-length films they have included story lines from outside sources. I think this was a good idea as Tolkien has created such an extensive mythos and history for his world and seeing it on screen is pretty great. The downside is that now The Hobbit seems like a lackluster book by comparison... that may be a tad unfair... and this would probably look better in the "books" threads lol. | |

| I guess but it's ok since we're only making a movie-book comparison. To be honest I also chose not ti read the book first because I thout I'd be disappointed with the movies later on. I don'tnknow if I should be sad it's the other way around and I'm not going to be able to enjoy reading it properly.
Back to another topic...there's another Harry Potter movie coming out in a couple of years or so. Are you guys also hyped to see how it will be? I've always been a major Harry Potter fan. It's followed me throughout all my childhood and adolescence. Funny thing, the fact that the series was done didn't hit me until half a year had passed after the last movie came out...I was le heartbroken. Should I have created another topic for this...?

| I'm not really a HP fan exactly... So I don't exactly have any strong feelings for it either way. And probs another topic would be best. xD
Last movie I saw was technically The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug.
It was awesome.
I wanna watch it again. D:

| I have just watched Oz: The Great and Powerful and I was pleasantly surprised. I went into it thinking it wouldn't be that great, and I had actually had it downloaded for a month or two but never got around to watching it until yesterday.
The movie was actually very good. There were a few things that didn't fit to the original MGM Wizard of Oz film but there's a reason for that, and they weren't glaringly obvious things. Just something like no wart on the witch's nose. :V
There's a really interesting plot twist which I won't speak of but I would definitely say to give this movie a try.
