Would definitely recommend the Ruby Red Trilogy by Kirsten Gier- Time Travel, not entirely focused on a love story (Although that's what it may seem like at first)
OR
The Graceling Trilogy by Kristen Cashore- Alternate world, magic and monsters! (Very long yet detailed books! They may not seem connected at first, but in the end....)

Thats about it besides the obvious Harry Potter :v

Harry Potter! I loved those books. ._. Was sad they ended. And then I had the movies to keep my interest going and then those ended too. xD
